Cose divertenti da fare a Kobe: 45 attrazioni e attività divertenti (2024)

Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens is a large botanical garden located on the hill of the mountain, accessible by hiking or cable car. It offers themed areas with a variety of flowers and herbs in full bloom, along with restaurants and a gift shop. Visitors can enjoy picturesque views of Kobe from this popular spot, which also features a small museum showcasing how herbs and flowers are used to create scents.

Not only this place itself but the location here commands a finest view of the whole Kobe bay area including Awaji-Island, Kobe Airport and another port facilities. Magnified device reveals that Japan Coast Guard Authority ship is anchored with dignity for the emergency. Twilight night timing is so dreamy as to make all the couples fall in the deepest love. No reason to hesitate here!

Great gardens with amazing views over Kobe. This is one of the largest gardens - Nunobiki gardens in Japan. All around Japan, I've been to gardens, but none have ever left me feeling as inspired as Nunobiki. In addition to its 12 expansive gardens, visitors may tour the scent and spice museums, take in the creative displays in the herbal home, unwind in the herbal foot bath, make a pilgrimage to the lover's bell, and chow down on a lunch in a plaza that is modelled after a German castle. A romantic day in Kobe has never been more idyllic. The gardens are in full bloom all year round, which is even better. The season's features are listed on their website.

One of the highlights of our trip to Kobe was this Garden! Follow the signs in the Shin Kobe station. Up some stairs to the elevator queue and then inside is another queue for the ticketing office. The line moved fast and we bought the round trip option. The view up and down the cable cars had breathtaking views of the Kobe city skylines! At the top, lovely views as well. There's some cafes and resting spots to enjoy lunch or snacks. There's plenty of restrooms on the way down. Signs posted (some English as well) to describe the exhibits. The flowers were gorgeous! I enjoyed the selfie stands provided for photo ops. The snacks and coffee at the greenhouse are cheaper outside than the fancy inside cafes! I saw that other patrons were enjoying their packed lunches and snacks inside the park.it was a beautiful way to spend the day!

This is a fantastic day trip from Osaka. Allow the full day to ride the cable up to a magical garden paradise lovingly cared for by expert gardeners. Food options are varied and will cater for many tastes. Be sure to have coffee and sweets in the giant greenhouse restaurant. We visited in Summer and saw plenty of flowers in full bloom. This really is a great day out and should be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

A very aesthetic and relaxing place to visit especially on a date. I recommend going at night to see the illuminated city at top of the garden. The food was great but expect long waiting times because of how crowded it always is. Most of the food stalls also only accept cash so keep that in mind before going here. Also prepare to walk quite a bit if you go to this place.

HapiTravels — Google review

The important part about going is checking the blooming info, we went in the end of March and most things are still dead. There are workshops that used to be fun before, for example, make your own nail oil bottle or make soap. They became almost twice more expensive in comparison with last year. Also last year you could choose the type of base oil and any aroma oil but now there is only one base oil and aroma oil choice is limited to 6 instead of 25-30 before. The explanation for the workshop is also very shallow, they give you a base oil but don’t explain what kind of oil is unless you ask. To save on aroma oil they ask you to write down the amount of drops you are going to use. I know shrinkation is going hard now but come on, making workshop much more expensive and counting drops next to you is above greedy.Despite the workshops getting not fun anymore, the place is beautiful and has a nice view so I will be coming back in a warmer season

This place was a pleasure to visit and a very welcome respite away from all the hustle bustle of the cities. The view from the cable car was fantastic and it was a thoroughly enjoyable ride up to the top. The gift shop at the top had a superb variety of gifts and souvenirs. You can even have a little foot bath at the top and purchase a small flannel to dry your feet for ¥100.Good variety of places to have something to eat, we had some lovely cakes in The Veranda. The walk down was really enjoyable and relaxing. Loved the hammocks that we found at the halfway point and the lavender ice-cream stand. Would definitely return.

It was a little difficult to find but getting to the top was magnificent. View of Kobe and the ropeway was also fun to do. Although we went there off season, you could tell this place is spectacular in spring/summer

Julie L — Google review

Excellent value. ¥1800 at the time of this posting grants you a round-trip cable car ride and admission. It's a little hard to find it on Google maps, but it's right next to the JR rail station, no need to do any hiking.Cable car gives you amazing views of Kobe and the ocean. How you aren't afraid is heights! The gift shop here smells AMAZING. The lavender soft serve smelled very floral, but otherwise tasted standard. There's an essential oil room that has dozens of scents jars you can smell to discover something you like. The botanical garden is nice, I've seen better. In this place's defense it was winter when I went. I'm sure it looks spectacular in the spring. There's a "free" herbal foot bath that you can buy a towel for ¥100. Great after a long walk. There's a nice place to chill with hammocks near the bottom, would be a nice place to have a picnic when the weather is warmer.

I had a wonderful experience visiting Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, located in Kobe. Taking the cable car to reach the garden added to the adventure. The garden is a refreshing oasis, and the panoramic view of Kobe city from here is truly breathtaking. It's a must-visit destination for families looking to unwind and relax.

Sadaphong K — Google review

One of the best place to spend your day trip to Kobe. Requires an entrance fee if you're using the ropeway and it's the recommended way to go up as you can see the seaview and city view from above. Hiking takes more than one and a half hour from floor. There are two stops , one in the middle the other one from top. Both are walkable and within walking distances. Umbrellas are free to use when you had reached the mid of top platform. Plenty of gardens to look around as you expose yourself to the nature. Glass room available too which houses the flora from the tropical forest in the south eastern china seas countries. Recommended place for couples and families with child.

Ing W — Google review

There is a Ropeway near the base of the Kobe train station that goes up to the Herb garden. At the top are places to eat and a few shops. The herb garden starts at the top of the Ropeway and goes down to the middle Ropeway station. It is a somewhat steep walk but very manageable. The gardens are more along the lines of a European garden and are not Japanese. If you decide to e walk down past the middle station you run into a nice waterfall. This would be a great several hour afternoon trip for a nice sunny day.

Debra P — Google review

Amazing place ! You can spend easy all day. Very well organized clean with almost all herbs. Lots of good things to buy - oils, essences, plants. We really enjoyed! Come in the morning it is less people.

Gabriel O — Google review

Beautiful and serene garden. It was pleasantly peaceful on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There were other visitors but it didn’t feel crowded.Although I was feeling scared on the cable car ride, the scenery made up for it. On your way up look out for the waterfall on your right followed by the dam on your left.

Very beautiful, large garden maintained with a lot of love and dedication! One of my favorite day trips in all of Japan. There are 22 stations with very different focuses, so there is something for everyone thanks to the variety (not to mention that just looking at the facility is beautiful). The price is absolutely worth it and I also recommend the hike from the middle station down into the valley (you walk past several waterfalls and beautiful nature). You have the option of buying a cheaper ticket (gondola only up) for 1,400 yen, which includes the hike through the forest, or buying an all-round ticket for 2,000 yen (gondola up and down). There is also a route that is suitable for wheelchair users, although you should note that some of the paths can be quite steep.

Can’t emphasis enough what a pleasure this garden was. It was so nice to escape the mass crowds of Kyoto tourists at major attractions to come to this little known gem. The cable car return ride at just 2000 Yen was well worth the money, on top of the ride, we were treated to the most wonderful views of Kobe city, the Harbour, Airport and sea.The gardens were the most colourful of all the ones we have been to this summer in Japan. If visiting I would highly recommended the foot spar at the exit of the greenhouses, Its free and a very small towel is available for 100 Yen. Very relaxing with great views out to the airport. There are also PV protecting umbrellas free to use down at the lower level lift area. They are really useful on hot days.

Greg T — Google review

The gardens were closed. It was a bit difficult to find. Upon exiting the train station, I went to the "Koto no Hako Kobe" building and went down to the first floor, where I then followed the Ropeway and Herb Garden sign. The sunset view was barely seen. Sunset is facing the other side. Nice view of the city otherwise.

This is a fantastic place! Start by taking a cable car up to the top (2nd stop) where they have: a shop, indoor & outdoor restaurants, rose garden, etc. From the top it is a nice walk down to an intermittent cable stop (for a ride down to the base). Besides a large selection of flowers and trees there are: a herb section, vegetable section, green house, a place to soak you feet, to small (snack style) restaurants, toilets along the way, places to rest, another rose garden, etc.!A lot of flowers and plants are seasonal and replaced regularly. For example, tulips in spring & lavender is summer, etc. There are also places (benches) to rest, hammocks, picnic tables, etc.It is very easy to spend 1-2 hours walking about. On weekends (specially during the summer) the upper are is open very late for night views of Kobe.

Frank R — Google review

Big beautiful botanical garden with herbs theme. For 1800 yen, tickets already covered cable car ride and park fares. City scenery can be enjoyed from many placed chair and hammock in the park. Many photo spots can be founded alongside the route, just make sure to wear comfortable shoes because the slope might be quite steep.

Hasna T — Google review

Lovely garden to explore. The cable car was very efficient and fun to ride! Hardly any queues too. It’s great to take it all the way up to the top then walk down to explore the garden! There’s also a veranda cafe where we enjoyed some lovely drinks. Great experience and beautiful flowers!

Leia L — Google review

Absolutely one of the best spots to visit in Kobe. Beautiful views, flowers and plants. The cable car ride is great too. We were there for a few hours and had lunch at the restaurant located inside of a greenhouse where we had Kobe beef and delicious herb tea. There’s also a spot with lavender ice cream that was excellent.

Wyatt M — Google review

Fun ride up and is peaceful - make sure to carve out about 3 hours to spend eating going down and enjoying the walk down.We took only the ride up and not the partial ride down and caught the beautiful waterfalls up close. I highly recommend taking the extra time seeing these sights as well.

Micah R — Google review

Located beside Shin Kobe station. Highly recommend not to miss this when visiting Kobe, it was an inexpectedly fun and worthwhile experience. 2000 JPY for round trip ticket for the cable car, which gets you pretty high up the mountain for sweeping views of Kobe and the sea. Along the way up the cable car, you will be able to catch glimpses of Nunobiki falls to the right as well as the dam to the left. The Herb Garden at the top of the mountain has an aroma experience centre to smell all kinds of scents which are made into products like essential oils, perfumes and creams available for purchase. The visitor centres and souvenir shops at the top of the mountain were built in the style of medieval German small town houses which added a layer of intrique. All in all, a very enjoyable attraction!

Calvin C — Google review

Highly recommend to take the rope way up to the top if it’s the summer. You get a nice view of the city and a nice aerial view of the whole herb garden and waterfall. Some kitschy aroma museum at the top. Nothing crazy or need to go out of your way for, but if you’re already in Kobe and want something slow paced to do. Would recommend checking out.

Amanda D — Google review

Without a doubt it is a nice place, the view is great the garden is beautiful. But we arrived and payed 2000 yen per person for the round ticket of the robeway. We were there on a Saturday. Opening hours were displayed and it said open till 20:30. But they already pushed everybody out before 18.00. since we arrived there at 16:30 we just had 1h 30min. And weren't able to see the sunset and the night view. Very disappointing experience

Marc G — Google review

Very wheelchair accessible, fun for kids, there’s a park with toys the kids could play with, there’s also a hammock for folks to rest. Great place to view flowers & autumn leaves. Can bring your own snacks or drinks if you don’t plan on spending too much on food sold there. Wonderful place to hike & plenty of areas for rest. Try the lavender ice cream, the kids loved it. Will definitely visit with older family & younger kids again. Suggest going there after lunch in the weekend so not too crowded, by 4pm, the queue for the railway tickets was already quite long

Sheree T — Google review

During our short stopover in Kobe, we took the opportunity to explore the herb gardens by cable car.You can choose between two types of ticket:- Take the cable car all the way up, then walk halfway up and then go back down againor- take the cable car to the top and walk all the way down. There are small cafés at the top and you can smell the different scents. There are many different plants on the way down, from herbs and vegetables to many types of flowers. There is also a greenhouse in between. Everything is barrier-free - but as it is on a hill, don't forget the incline. You can also relax in hammocks or benches in between.

Pug N — Google review

You take the cable car up to the garden and it was such a great experience. The rose symphony garden is so pretty with different colored roses. There’s also a nice view of Kobe. I bought some solid perfume from the gift shop

Marissa M — Google review

Definitely something for everyone here. Kids can roam around and adults can explore the beautiful gardens. The spot is very instagrammable and well worth the entry ticket. You can get the view of the city as well as short sight of the waterfall. This can be a visit of 2-4 hours. The place offers lots of other paid programmes including cooking, scent making etc.

Recommend the Ropeway for time [we were on a limited time]. Bring ice water with you!! It was so hot in September!September 2024 and the gardens were a mix of bloom and pit of season. Plenty to see! Lots of activities scattered throughout the gardens too. The flowers and herbs smelled so good!Signs were in Japanese and English.Gift stores take major credit cards.

Yuuki A — Google review

The Kobe herb gardens were surprisingly a very enjoyable and interesting experience. Be sure to be early as the queue can get incredibly long around lunch time. There is lots to see, smell and taste, making it a must see for any trip to Kobe. We were there at Christmas time when they had a German inspired Christmas market with lots of traditional German food and trinkets. It is reachable by a lift, which is a great attraction itself. I would recommend taking the lift all the way up, then walk to the middle station and go back to the city. The hammocks and the variety of things to smell were my personal highlights.

Thomas K — Google review

A delightful moment at this incredible garden. Easy to find from shin Kobe station, just follow the indications (you have to go threw a little mall). It was a Monday so we didn’t buy our tickets in advance. It was not crowded. We loved the ropeway. In June there was a lot of hydrangeas. The museum of fragrance was interesting. The footpath was a refreshing.

Virginie S — Google review

This place is an absolute must-go if you like nature, plants or parks in general. You take the gondola up the mountain, on the top station there is a herb shop, a fragrance museum and an observation deck. The herb shop is pretty expensive as there is a good amount of tourists, so think twice before buying anything there. The fragrance museum, while small, is an interesting experience that is for sure worth trying out.Beyond the station is a around 30 - 45 minute walk down the mountain where you will be met with beautiful flowers, gardens, glass houses and even some themed huts (we went during october close to halloween). The park is obviously well kept and a lot of love has been put into it.One more thing I want to mention:Avoid ordering the charcoal coffee near the glasshouses. Its pre-packaged instant coffee and it tastes like that while also being super expensive.

Marco J — Google review

Nice little herb garden with a few cafes and a souvenir shop at the top. Round trip tickets are available but I recommend getting a one way ticket and walking down the mountain if time permits. Definitely a must-do if you're in Kobe.

Mitchclacko — Google review

I’ve been to different gardens throughout the world and definitely think this is one of the best ones. Everything is clean, the place offers such niche stores of fragances that you can smell which makes it really special. Also the view is definitely worth it.

Eduardo A — Google review

A fantastic day out. The views and gardens are gorgeous. Lots of places to eat and drink. Lots of information on the gardens too.We took the cable car up and followed the walking route down to see the waterfalls and dam. The hike has some very steep steps and I'm glad we walked down rather than up, but it's well worth the walk.

Vicky W — Google review

Went on a hot summer Sunday- no wait at all. Such a perfect way to spend a couple of hours. The views from the ropeway are amazing. The gardens area is vast and there's lots to explore. There's also some cafes at the top and lower down the path to dine with a great view!

Edwina — Google review

AMAZING views and vibes up here!!! Bought cable tickets on Klook but since we went on a quieter day, there was no wait at all.The cable car up was a good ride, and everything at the herb garden was landscaped so so nicely. It made for such a great activity to do on our day trip to Kobe.Food up there was a little bit expensive but it was good to try? There was a feet soaking station and stamps to collect for kids. It was also a good walk down to the mid-station with hammocks.Overall, so relaxing, very good walking trip to see the city.

Katrina T — Google review

I went here in June and despite the heat, I loved it! I really like riding the cable car! They have a lot of flowers and plants to see. There are also toilets and vending machines so don’t worry about it. The souvenirs shop was extensive! Worth to visit if you really like gardens!

Alvania K — Google review

The Herb gardens are a sprawling complex located in the hills above Kobe, accessed by a ropeway (or for the thrifty, by a hike). There are a number of gardens ranging from vegetables to exotics. Maps and signage are available in both Japanese and English and most staff seem to speak English as well making it highly accessible to those who don't know Japanese.

Zane H — Google review

If you are looking for things to do in Kobe, i recommend this. Lovely view of the city from the top. Give yourself at least 2 hours to enjoy the cafe, perfume museum, gardens, glasshouse, and veranda.

Soravit S — Google review

Loved the ropeway ride to the top. The view from the top is very nice. There are restaurants at the top and beautiful flowers too. Normally everyone walk down from the top to the mid level station and take the ropeway. We did the same and it took a long time to get into the ropeway as the queue was very long. The total trip took about 2 and half hours. The garden and view was nice, but if time is limited better to skip the mid station. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Soudamini M — Google review

Gorgeous gardens with herbs and flowers. Great signage. Well organized beds grouped by usage. Beautiful and educational. Probably not the best activity for wheelchair and walker users, even though ramps are plentiful, as it is built into the side of a mountain.

Argh C — Google review

American Family VisitingThis was a great experience. Took the ropeway to the summit and had a wonderful view of Kobe. A walk back down to the midpoint station through the herb garden was relaxing (minus my screaming calf muscles) and all of the shops and staff were friendly. The place was clean and well maintained.

Matthew S — Google review

The gondola ride was absolutely spectacular, breathtakingly beautiful, and the views were simply stunning. This is a must-do when in Kobe. As you can see from my photos, the scenery is incredible. The top is very beautiful, with the garden being amazing—absolutely wonderful. You can walk down, and they put a lot of effort into the botanical gardens and vegetable gardens they've created. Truly an amazing day trip, even half a day is enough. A definite recommendation.

Manuel H — Google review

Beautiful serene place with a laid back tourist spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy. For 2000 yen, you get a round trip ride up and down the fully enclosed lift. For about 1400 (or 1600?) yen, you only get a one way ride up the lift and have to walk all the way back down on your own. I recommend getting the round trip unless you are just trying to get your steps in. Both include admisson to the grounds/garden.See Kobe, Rokko Island and Osaka port from the top of the gardens. (Bring a DSLR camera with UV filters to get beautiful scenic shots! Taking the pics from the phone doesn't capture the beauty as well.)There are food and drinks at almost every level of the garden stopovers. The food are just ok and nothing mindblowing but sufficient for a day out and about. Get here early to avoid the crowds and long lines. Alternatively you can bring a picnic basket with you to enjoy at many of the plentiful shaded or nonshaded seating areas or sit on the wide open lawns.

L R — Google review

It is a very peaceful place with good views and nice flower gardens. I went there on Sunday morning and it was very busy at the ticket gate. Inside the garden, it was not so crowded, maybe because the size of the garden is quite big. There is lighting at night so maybe it looks more beautiful in the afternoon (I had other plans so didn't stay there all day)...

Mohammad K — Google review

Very beautiful place with lots of flowers and herbs. The ropeway is not to be missed, or you could just hike but the weather is warm now. Love the glasshouse and the potpourri workshop! The herbal foot bath and The Veranda were amazing too, the view up there was beautiful. Come here if you love flowers and just want to enjoy life at a slower pace. Very cottagecore, wear a cute summer dress and a hat for photos!

Annabella S — Google review

you can choose to buy round trip ticket for the ropeway up and down or just one way up and walk down yourself. it's about 40 min walk down to the city from the herb garden.they have different themed stamps for every building so bring your stamp book or use their paper for that.there's a perfume museum, souvenir shops, cafesand free foot onsen with a really nice city view(you have up pay 100¥ if you don't have a towel and want to lend it from them to dry your feet after)

Marleen — Google review

I should have save more time for this garden. I believe you can walk all the way up from the Kobe station but that is quite a hike if you are already walking around the city and the gardens after entry. Save yourself and take the cable car up. Enjoy the scenery. Lavender ice cream is at the stand beside the cable car entry for going down the hill. The cafe at the greenhouses has a specialty flavor of the season and the ice cream at the top is vanilla. Lots to smell, see and plenty of places to sit. Including hammocks. Make your own adventure here.

Larissa — Google review

You can easily spend at least a couple of hours here if you want to see all the little herb gardens and look around the shop and cafe along the way up or down. There’s also a cable car which you need to take at least one way unless you want to hike for most of the day. There is an incredible variety of herbs and plants which are very well looked after. There are signs with the English names of the plants and a QR code you can scan for more information. You can see a waterfall and have a great view of Kobe on the cable car or even walking up or down the gardens. It’s not open at night all year round so you’ll need to check the times for that if you plan to go at night.

Steven H — Google review

An amazing place to spend an afternoon. The views from the ropeway are amazing if the weather is good. There are good food options at the top station. The walk down to the middle station is a little steep but broken up by the variety of gardens on the way. Highly recommended.
